The program of the project is including the renovation of part of the existing school and the addition of classrooms, a new canteen, a library and a new gymnasium.
The design approach has been addressed several interconnected problematics:
– The addition of new indoor and outdoor spaces and the resulting reorganization of the relations between the different parties and functions of the school.
– The rationalization the whole layout.
– The relation between the school and its urban context through the reinforcement of some existing qualities and the creation of new ones.
– The relation to the local climate.
